Newcastle

The mitochondrial disease service has been established at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle for almost 15 years. This service has expanded considerably over the years and in 2007, together with colleagues in London and Oxford, we secured a national commission for a clinical and diagnostic service for rare mitochondrial diseases of adults and children in England.
